APFL Partner Bernadette Fahy Hands Over to the Next Generation
APFL’s Bernadette Fahy is stepping back as a Partner after over three decades of practice as one of the leading international lawyers in Vietnam.
On 31 December 2023, she retired as a Partner in our Hanoi office, where she has led the team since 2008. Bernadette will continue to support the firm as Senior Legal Counsel, enabling the APFL team and our clients to continue to benefit from her unique expertise and decades of experience as we transition to a new-generation of partners and a new leadership team.
Over the last thirty years, Bernadette has made a significant contribution to the development of the legal profession and the legislative framework in Vietnam. She has also made an invaluable contribution to our firm: helping to grow the business, train the next generation of Vietnamese and foreign lawyers, and taking the lead on some of our most high-profile cases.
Throughout her career, Bernadette has worked on major international arbitration cases including landmark investor-state investment disputes. She has also been consistently highly-ranked for her work, in particular, in dispute resolution and construction law in prestigious legal rankings such as Chambers, the Asia Business Law Journal, and Legal 500.
We would like to thank Bernadette for her decades of incredible leadership as a Partner in our firm and we are delighted that she has agreed to remain on-board with us as Senior Legal Counsel.
