APFL Signs MOU with HCMC University of Law

On Friday 22 December, APFL & Partners was honoured to join the Ho Chi Minh City (“HCMC”) University of Law and 30 strategic partners to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (“MOU”).

Senior Associate Pham Viet Anh, who is also a Professor of Law at the Master of French-Asian Business Law at Paris II Pantheon Assas University, in collaboration with the National University of Law and Economics, attended the event on behalf of APFL & Partners. 

Also present for the signing at the Nguyen Tat Thanh campus was Dr. Le Truong Son, Principal of HCMC University of Law, along with 30 other co-signatories including the Department of Justice of HCMC, Courts and Procuracies, notaries, bailiffs, enterprises, banks, law firms, and other organizations based in HCMC.

Notable guests included the Director of the HCMC Department of Justice, the Director of the High People’s Procuracy, and the Deputy Chief Justice of the HCMC People’s Court.

The MOU sets out cooperation between HCMC University of Law and its strategic partners for the next five years (2024-2029). It aims to strengthen the sustainable relationship between the university and its partners in the law, business, and other fields. 

APFL & Partners has helped to train future lawyers through internships at our firm, giving them practical, real-life experience in a leading international law firm and the chance to work alongside skilled Vietnamese and foreign-trained attorneys. 

We are proud to continue our cooperation with HCMC University of Law through this MOU and to helping develop the next generation of Vietnamese lawyers and Vietnamese law.
